Bringing Starlink to Preston on the Hill – Fully Installed, Fully Reliable
I recently completed a Starlink installation in Preston on the Hill, Warrington, and I wanted to share how it went—especially since locations like this really highlight the benefits of reliable satellite internet.
What the Job Looked Like
This setup involved using:
A 12 × 18″ galvanised wall bracket
A rugged 1.5″ alloy mast, fitted with an anti-ferrule converter
The Starlink Gen 3 dish, aligned via the official Starlink app
Everything was mounted above the gutter line for maximum sky visibility—no obstacles, no signal loss.
Once the hardware was in place, I powered it up, connected to the default STARLINK Wi-Fi network, and used the app’s alignment tool to fine-tune the dish. Within moments, the dish locked into satellites, and high-speed internet was live.
